Pros
Mount Rushmore at night with the lighting ceremony was magical. Bison herd in Custer State Park was incredible. Great park.
Cons
Keystone is very touristy but the park itself is peaceful.

Pros
September is the sweet spot — crowds thin out and the weather is perfect. Needles Highway was stunning.
