Pros
Tahoe in summer is paradise. Water is crystal clear, hiking is incredible, and the casinos are fun in the evening.
Cons
Pricey in peak summer but the setting is worth it.

Fall colors around the lake were stunning. Much quieter and more affordable than summer.

Some amenities reduced in fall but the scenery more than compensates.
