Pros
Crater Lake is absolutely surreal — that blue color has to be seen to be believed. Great base camp, clean facilities.
Cons
Road to the rim can be slow with traffic in peak season. Go early.

Beautiful setting in the pines. Park is well-maintained and staff are helpful.

Can be cold at night even in summer at this elevation.
